Kahn Santori Davison is from Detroit, Michigan. He is formerly an writer for The Gazette News and the Michigan Citizen.  He's been a journalist/photojournalist for the Detroit Metro Times since 2004 and a featured writer for Model D Media since 2001.  He's appeared on Netflix's “Hip-Hop Evolution,”  FX's "Hip-Hop Uncovered," CBS News, and TV ONE's  “Sins of the City.”

      He has also written articles for Bridge Detroit, Complex, and Okay Player. He has served as a creative writing instructor for Detroit Impact Community Center & Inside Out Literary Arts.


    Kahn Davison is well respected and published poet. He's a Cave Canem fellow whose works have been featured in The Alabama Poetry SocietyThe Baltimore Review, CallalooBlack Renaissance Noire, and The Litchfield Review. His poetry book Blaze was published by Willow Books in 2015. He is the recipient of the 2015 Kresge Literary Arts Fellowship, a 2018 "Documenting Detroit Fellowship," and received a Society of Professional Journalists featured writing award in 2024.  

        He is the owner of Kahn Santori Photography (www.kahnsantori.com). He has a B.A. from Oakland University and is a proud husband and father of four.  He's currently working on his autobiography.
